Merit Based Scholarships for Masters and PhD

ICT ENDOWMENT FUND SCHOLARSHIP SCHEME​

MS students admitted in Spring 19 semester : 2 x regular semesters  

MS students admitted in Fall 19 Semester: 3 x regular semesters

PhD Students Admitted in Spring 19 semester: 4 x regular semesters

PhD students admitted in Fall 19 semester: 5 x regular semesters

       Eligibility Criteria

Students, who are full time and not availing any other scholarship.

Enrolled atleast 9 CH and secured GPA of 3.5 w.e.f first semester at NUST.

Students having terminal degree CGPA of 3.5 and above

Awardees are required to work as TA for 10 contact hours per week for one subject of Bachelors / Masters in case of Masters/PhD students respectively.

Continuation of scholarship is subject to the following:

Availability of funds, 

Satisfactory academic performance  i.e semester GPA/CGPA > 3.5/4.0, 

Attendance in six monthly progress seminars

Good conduct of the student.

Other conditions apply

Merit based scholarships are awarded to around 20 Masters and 5 PhD students pursuing studies in approved disciplines. 

The Masters and PhD awardees are paid monthly stipend of Rs. 18,000/- and Rs. 30,000/- respectively. PhD Awardees / Institutions are also paid Lab/ Research Funds & remuneration for supervisors. 

Students having good academic record and high research potential are given merit based scholarship to augment their academic & research progress.

 Scholarship funds are disbursed on the basis of achieving academic milestones & recommendations of supervisor / Head of department. Students are required to submit updated academic progress reports, duly completed in all respects, to Financial Aid Office for processing of release of scholarship funds.

Scholarship funds cover few regular semesters only e.g students admitted in Spring & Fall 2019 semesters are awarded scholarship w.e.f Spring 2020 semester. They are released funds as under:
